After the first few days of mental release (from finals stress), I managed to rejuvinate my body. But as the economy is completly busted, my summer is practically free! I’m taking a trip up to Washington State in a week, but then I am pretty much free until July. I guess I’m going to waste my summer on the couch.
Well I saw Star Trek last night. The beginning was so great! I thought at first it would be an overly actiony, soap opera. Personally, I’m not even a Star Trek fan. It was a teary beginning to the alternate universe. And I don’t tear up very easily. Well maybe I do…but that is besides the point. I am drawn towards protagonists with tragic pasts. I think Chris Pine filled Kirk’s role excellently and gave him a definable personality. The special effects were, in my opinion, top notch. My friend and I enjoyed the rollercoaster ride of emotions that we experienced. Also, with the splash of witty dialogue and humor, I would give Star Trek a 9.5/10. Excellent and a movie worth watching on the big screen.
Another note, that was a bitter pill, was a message I received on my Honesty Box on Facebook. As many people know, the Honesty Box application allows users to submit anonymous mesages to their friends. For me, I don’t receive that many messages. Usually, they just say I’ m quiet and joking ones from my friends. But I got up and happened to check it this morning. I got one from a black symbol (which I can never understand what gender this means they are) that said I was a fat Asian. This was really cruel and I immediately sought revenge. After hours of searching for hacks into the Honesty Box, I finally burned up my fury…But I just…I can’t understand why any of my friends would ever say anything like that to me.
